Thomas A. Lavin

Me Lavin is the founding partner of the firm Lavin Gosselin. Following graduation from the University of Montreal Law School in 1969, he articled with the fledging Montreal law firm of Lapointe Rosenstein and subsequently headed up the Litigation department. Me Lavin’s practice has concentrated mostly in civil and commercial litigation, family and estate law, as well as municipal, administrative and construction matters.

Erica Gosselin

For more than 17 years, she has practiced at the Lavin Gosselin firm as a bilingual attorney mainly in the fields of family law, estate, youth protection, civil and commercial law and civil and medical liability. Me Gosselin is also an accredited family mediator since 2003.

Edith Brault Lalanne

In addition to representing her clients before the courts of Quebec, she acts as a mediator. She negotiates, drafts and revises various contracts, develops strategic plans, drafts policies and rules and assists her clients in the execution of contracts and helps them resolve problems as they arise. With her clients she advocates a preventive approach in order to avoid litigation, minimize legal costs and build long term relationships.

Marie-Eve Roy

Since the beginning of her practice in 2012, she has worked in private practice. During those years, she has developed expertise in family law and youth protection. Me Roy has joined Lavin Gosselin avocats inc. in 2018, where she mainly focuses her practice on family law, youth protection, personal and civil law, and settlement of estates.
Me Roy accompanies her clients both in a litigation process and in an agreement negotiation process, always thinking of finding the best negotiated solution in their case.

Marie J. Popiel

Administration and office management
Mrs. Popiel has been a legal assistant since 1970. She joined Lavin Gosselin in 1998. In addition to supporting the attorneys in their practice, she sees to the general office needs, and manages the finances and human resources.

Christine Brodeur

Christine Brodeur is a Legal Technician. Ms. Brodeur is organized, has a good sense of synthesis and efficiency, qualities that make her an important asset to our team. She works mainly in civil, property, construction and corporate files. Thanks to her contribution, we can offer you efficient and accessible legal services.

Tracy Bockus

Ms. Bockus is a legal assistant at Lavin Gosselin Avocats Inc. since 2013. Agreeable, dynamic, efficient and bilingual she is committed to supporting the attorneys in their practice and to meeting the clients’ needs.
