Originally from Bas-Saint-Laurent, Stéphanie Fortin holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Université de Sherbrooke, as well as having completed her professional training at the Barreau du Québec of Sherbrooke.
Her practice primarily focuses on family law since the beginning of her Bar internship at the legal aid office of Rivière-du-Loup, her hometown. As an outdoor enthusiast, she fell in love with the Eastern Townships during her studies and chose to settle there afterward.
In the spring of 2024, she joined the Lavin Gosselin team after working as a legal advisor in a virtual law firm that assists individuals representing themselves in court. This role allowed her to become familiar with the specific procedures of each district across Quebec, at every step of family law cases.
Advocating for a simplified and accessible approach, Ms. Fortin is dedicated to addressing your needs with professionalism while promoting amicable settlements. She works with clients dealing with various family issues, including child custody, child support, divorce, adoption, and more. Ms. Fortin will provide empathetic and human-centered support, demonstrating open-mindedness to guide you through your legal process. She works in close collaboration with Me Gosselin on several of her cases and accepts both private mandates and legal aid mandates.
